Saudi Crown Prince inaugurates King Salman Air Base
Politics
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday inaugurated the facilities of King Salman Air Base in Riyadh, part of strategic development projects aimed at enhancing the combat readiness of the Royal Saudi Air Force.
Construction of the project began in the third quarter of 2021. The various phases of building the King Salman Air Base in the central region took around 38 months, and the site was designed in the “Salmani” architectural style to reflect the identity of the Saudi capital and align with Riyadh’s modern urban vision.
The project includes 115 buildings covering a total area of more than 126,000 square meters. This encompasses main and parallel runways, aircraft parking aprons, helicopter landing zones, aircraft hangars, an air-traffic control tower, and a wide range of technical, administrative, residential, and security facilities.
